Job title:

Insurance Product Specialist

Main purpose of job:

Reporting to the Product Manager, you will sit between the development team and customers and will be responsible for the management of product features from initiation through to specification and delivery. You will also be responsible for building insurance products for both live deployment and demos, demoing the product to potential and existing customers, and going onsite to customer offices to gather requirements. You will also support the Business Development Manager, the Service Delivery Manager and the development team in their day-to-day activities.

Salary:

30 – 40k depending on experience

Main tasks of the job:

Translate business strategy into product strategy using your insurance knowledge and experience
Own the product roadmap features you have responsibility for
Execute product strategy
Drive action throughout the organisation to get products to market
Plan and carry out product launches
Manage product profitability and commercial success – own the business case for your features
Provide insight to stakeholders on the product and the insurance market
Provide product marketing with insights on key differentiators and messages
Write both high-level and detailed customer and feature requirements
Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues

Requirements of the role:

Communicate clearly, accurately, and professionally, on both technical and non-technical subject matter, verbally and in writing
Specialised knowledge of the insurance industry is essential
Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and be a team player
Demonstrates strong leadership
